FAQs

How will I know that you are the right counsellor for me? I offer an online introductory 30-minute session free of charge or £15 for a face to face session (to cover room costs) so we can meet and you can tell me what you hope to achieve from counselling. I will tell you how I work and will answer any queries you may have. We can liaise afterwards to arrange further sessions if we are both happy to proceed.

How long does each session last? Sessions last 50 minutes.

How many sessions will I need? This is something that can be discussed at an initial meeting. Some matters may be resolved in a few sessions, others can take much longer. An agreement for an initial six sessions can be a helpful start.

What does it cost? Sessions cost £45-£55. I do have some low-cost spaces available to allow clients to access counselling; please ask me about this. Couples or duo counselling is £55 for 50 minutes and £75 for 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Where do you practise? I work from counselling rooms located near Queen’s Park, Brighton. I will provide you with the details when we agree an initial meeting. I also provide online and telephone counselling.

How do I know that you work in an ethical way and will safeguard my best interests? I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapists and abide by their ethical guidelines. I also have regular supervision.
