FAQs

How will I know that you are the right counsellor for me? I will offer you a free introductory 30-minute session so we can meet and talk about your reasons for coming to counselling. This will give us the chance to chat and for you to ask me questions about how I work and any queries you may have. Afterwards you can decide if you want to have some counselling sessions with me.

How long does each session last? Sessions last 50 minutes.

How many sessions will I need? This is something that can be discussed at an initial meeting. Some matters may be resolved in a few sessions, others can take much longer. An agreement for an initial six sessions can be a helpful start.

What does it cost? Sessions cost £45 an hour. I do have some low-cost spaces available to allow clients to access counselling; please ask me about this.

Where do you practise? I work from counselling rooms located near Fiveways, Brighton. I will provide you with the details when we agree an initial meeting. I also provide online and telephone counselling.

How do I know that you work in an ethical way and will safeguard my best interests? I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapists and abide by their ethical guidelines. I also have regular supervision.
